“ I can't believe this place only has 85 reviews as of December 2024. This is a hidden WV gem and one of the places on my best of West Virginia list. The thing to get here are the "hot dogs" which are eclairs that are cut down the middle like a hot dog bun and filled with the most delicious buttercream you will ever taste in your life. The pastry bread is very soft and sweet as well with just the right amount of puffiness. I have sent dozens of people here who are passing through over the years and they all stop every time now. These things are so good that if I have friends passing through and coming to NC, I have them stop and get me a couple dozen. I really couldn't speak to any of the other pastries because I can't get past the hot dogs...I only get them 1-2 times a year at most so I'm not willing to try anything else. It's a very small store but they turn people out really fast. It's to-go only, no dining inside. Last time I was passing through on my motorcycle I got six of them and went outside and sat down on a set of stairs and ate three of them and packed the other three in my cooler. ”
